Let me unfold my story
I am passionate about interactive, fun, magical, simple paper craft, such as origami, pop-up cards and books, and any greeting cards which surprise or touch me.
I am CAt (short for Catherine), not for cats! I am more of a tiger lover than a cat lady (despite my name!) so you won’t see any cheesy cats around here (unfortunately!), may-be some more stylish and unusual animals, animals prints or perhaps even illustrations of your favourite pets!
I truly believe stationery is an emotional item and makes beautiful memories of an event to treasure forever (please don’t’ tell me I am the only who has a big box of cards collected from birthdays, wedding and baby announcement cards?!). I keep only cards I love the best! Why? Because they touch me, personally and emotionally. Not only for their aesthetic, but for their originality, because they associated a surprise, an experience, an interaction with the joy of the event; and as such they are playful, unique and so much more memorable.
My mission
From this passion (or obsession!), my love and study of interior design and my 10 years of graphic design experience; I now produce innovative and un-conventional origami invitations (plus other formats and stationery), which are quirky, colourful and unique.
One of my favourite things is to integrate tiny details of your love story or your life. Making your stationery personal, reflecting your passions, your love of series/movies/sports/travel, illustrating your special theme or any details that are important to you and will make a difference.
Where it all began?
How I decided to create interactive, all-in-one invitation that break the rules...
By cliché…with my own wedding! I was a busy graphic designer planning my wedding, due to lack of time I searched on the web for different invites we could use, and as a result I was shocked to find blind, flat impersonal wedding invitations. Everywhere, the same type of design, trend-led and generic, a succession of cards and inserts that I found redundant, nothing like us, nothing that could reflect the hint of our theme or our personalities; all were so boring…So at once, I decided to design our own invites, something more interactive, with the idea to have all the information within one paper, something that break the rules, surprises and tells our theme and love story.

I have run my own business Cat Creative for over 11 years now, I have gained expertise and understand what my couples want. Often my couples say that I have managed to capture their visions without knew how to describe it. I am passionate about discovering more unique love story and couples!

Words can’t explain how happy Cat Creative’s wedding stationery made us. When setting out wedding budgets, it's easy to deprioritise stationery or make savings by using electronic means. However, the more we looked at wedding invites, the more boring and repetitive they felt. Until we found Cat Creative! She was supportive and responsive throughout. And she crafted something that we absolutely loved. When we asked for something bespoke, she took time to think and give us ideas. Some fun facts about me...
You'll certainly realise quickly over a chat that I have a strong French accent! Yes, I am French, I moved to Eastbourne, UK, 16 years ago!
I fell in love with the place, the peaceful atmosphere of the seafront, the Victorian’ buildings, the English people and their polite laid back style, (although maybe not so much their English food), however I stayed!
I have known my husband for more the half of my age!
Yes, we met, I was only 17 and a half at school in France.
We've now been married for 11 years, 23 years together, we have two kids, Celeste 9 and Ulysse 5.
I love tea !
Dry tea leaves are the best,
but please no milk and no sugar!
I LOVE chocolate
(it’s my second partner in life!)
Dark, 80% are the best for me! (but any chocolate cakes works too)
I need some after lunch and after dinner…yes that much!!
I love fitness, going to the gym and walking in nature. I like to set up myself a sportive challenge every year, next time is a 10k + Tough Mudder!
I have been birth with Disney and Pixar all my youth and still love to watch cartoons.
I absolutely adore pop-up books, they are so magical! I am dreaming of designing one pop-up wedding invitation one day!
